Mach's General Store is a gem located in the beautiful Mettowee Valley.
The building that is currently Mach's General Store was formerly the Franklin Hotel, built in 1808. John Mach was the original owner of the store established in 1945. The store was purchased in 2002 by the current owners, Mike and Marilyn Bellemare. It is built over Flower Brook and has a box built into the floor so you can enjoy the view of the brook and waterfall from inside the store.
A true Vermont general store, Mach's has a large assortment of nuts and bolts to a wide variety of "made in Vermont" items. They offer homemade soup, chili, salads, cookies and pies along with a full-service snack bar. There is something for everyone in their many departments. including automotive, hardware, gardening, toys, grocery, beer and wine, sporting goods, stationery, and a gift shop. The friendliness of the staff makes this a truly enjoyable visit.

Hours
Our store hours are Sunday 7:00 am - 8:00 pm, Monday-Saturday 6:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Our snack bar is open at 11:00 am every day and closes at 7:00 pm. We also carry frozen-at-sea seafood from Brammer Creek, fresh-cut meats, Woolich clothing.
