Over 160 years old, the Old Brick Store has always been a central fixture in Charlotte, and today is no different. For a population of just over 3,000, this historical country store remains the focal point of the town, the porch being constantly used by customers to sit and have breakfast, lunch, read theier paper, or just simply 'hang out'.
The store opens at 7:00 am to the welcome aroma of freshly brewed coffee, baked goods, and breakfast sandwiches made to order. Lunches include everything from hot soups, chili, and pizza to salads, sandwiches and garden burgers. The locally designed and built wine rack carries a wonderful selection of wines, and tables nearby are covered with a vast array of Vermont products, gift items, and cards to take home before boarding the ferry to New York.
Kids delight at our penny candy in glass jars in the window, and adults exclaim at the 'frisbee-size' cookes in a center cookie case, fresh from our oven every day.
