Barnard General Store established 1832
The Barnard General Store was established in 1832 and stands as one of the longest running General Stores in Vermont. Our store features a 1950's Soda Fountain where you can still get a thick shake, hot fudge sundae or a triple scoop of ice cream. We have a full deli featuring Boar's Head Meats, Grilled burgers; Stone Baked Pizza, Homemade Soups, Hearty Sandwiches, Unique and Traditional Salads. We'll pack you a picnic for your hike on one of the many beautiful trails including the nearby Appalachian Trail or to take across the street to enjoy on beautiful Silver Lake. We carry delicious Vermont Products as well as select clothing and gifts. It is our goal to continue to provide our customers with friendly courteous service. We strive to use the finest ingredients in all we create for our deli and café while seeking quality and local products at the store. It is our hope to preserve a strong relationship with our neighbors and the community we serve. We hope you stop in to see us as you journey through our beautiful state.
